IMAT INSTITUTE DEPARTMENTS
The Institute of Materials (IMAT) department focuses on teaching, research and development in the field of materials science, covering a broad spectrum from materials science through structural analysis to advanced and nanomaterials. Emphasis is placed on the study of the properties of metallic, non-metallic and composite materials, their processing, forming and modelling of plastic deformation processes. In addition, the Institute is dedicated to the development of non-metallic inorganic materials for industrial applications, waste-free mineral processing technologies and the study of the corrosion of refractory materials, cooperating intensively with domestic and foreign research institutions and industrial partners.
